Stock Photo Queen — A Thoughtful Approach to Stock Photography

At Stock Photo Queen, finding the right image is meant to feel clear, intentional, and inspiring — not overwhelming.

The collection is built around real, human-made photography created by a single photographer, offering a cohesive visual language grounded in authenticity, ethical sourcing, and long-term usability. Every image is thoughtfully curated to support brands, designers, editors, and storytellers who value clarity, consistency, and trust in the visuals they choose.

Rather than relying on mass-produced or mixed-source imagery, Stock Photo Queen focuses on depth over volume. From expansive landscapes to quiet, everyday moments, each photograph is created with natural light, truthful context, and a clear purpose — helping visual stories feel original, grounded, and enduring.

With clearly defined categories, intuitive keyword search, and no membership required, Stock Photo Queen makes it easy to explore photography that resonates. The result is a more considered way to discover and license images — one that supports creative work without noise, uncertainty, or compromise.

“I wanted to create a stock photo site for designers that feels less like a search engine and more like a gallery — a place where choosing an image elevates a project rather than fills a placeholder. Large stock platforms are built for volume, with millions of mixed-source visuals. Stock Photo Queen was created to offer something different: real photography that resonates, helping projects feel cohesive, considered, and capable of eliciting the same genuine response from viewers as the moments themselves.”

About the Photographer

Katie Dobies is a commercial and editorial photographer based in Maine, originally from upstate New York. She creates real, human-made photography for brands, publishers, designers, and storytellers who value authenticity, visual clarity, and images that feel grounded in lived experience.

Before becoming a full-time photographer, Katie worked as a flight attendant—an experience that shaped both her creative perspective and her career path. Traveling constantly and spending time in cities, landscapes, and communities across the country deepened her relationship to place and light, and gave her the space to photograph, edit, and study how images communicate across cultures and contexts. That lived, observational experience continues to inform her work today.

Katie began her professional photography career in 2014 as a stock photographer with iStock by Getty Images. Since then, her photography has been licensed and published internationally across thousands of print and digital uses, including editorial features, book covers, news articles, websites, and media publications.

Her work has appeared in national and international outlets including Good Housekeeping, Travel + Leisure, AOL, Yahoo, Only In Your State, HuffPost, and CBS News. She has also been a contributing photographer for Saratoga Living Magazine, where her editorial photography and authored photo essays have been featured in lifestyle and travel stories.

Katie’s photography has been recognized by organizations such as the Natural Resources Council of Maine, highlighting her environmental and place-based work across the state.

Through her lens, Katie focuses on real people, real places, and real moments—captured with natural light and truthful context. Her work reflects a cohesive visual voice shaped by years of commercial licensing, editorial storytelling, immersive travel, and direct experience seeing how images are used in the real world.

In response to the growing presence of AI-generated imagery, Katie founded the Ethical Imagery Standard™, an initiative designed to define and protect real, human-made photography through clear authorship, truthful context, and transparent licensing. The standard promotes trust, clarity, and responsibility in how images are created, labeled, and used.

Stock Photo Queen is the curated commercial home for Katie Dobies’ licensed photography, offering authentic stock images with clear licensing, consistent visual storytelling, and alignment with the Ethical Imagery Standard™.
